I come to your pets home feed, water, play and clean up after them while your away; but thats just the begining I promise your pet will be loved and well taken care of while your gone.

My name is Denise I am a professional pet sitter, which means I come to your home feed, play and take exceptional care of your pet while your away.  I work in the Susanville and Janesville area.  I would like to bring awareness to the community as to what your local pet care professionals can provide and some things that you should look for in a pet care provider. 

*Please be careful who let in your home to care for your pets!  “WE” the professional and trusted animal caregivers urge everyone when in need of pet care to us a licensed, insured and bonded animal caregiver!  Be especially leery of anyone targeting pet sitting specifically for the elderly or disabled individuals.  Professional pet care providers, offer their services indiscriminately.

We would like to remind the people what options they have here in the Susanville and Janesville area, and why it is imperative to you and your pet’s safety to choose a professional animal caregiver.

#1 your options for responsible pet care are your local kennels and professional pet sitters.  They all have one or all of the following: Licensed to do business, insurance and bonded
#2 A professional is trained and or experienced with pet cpr, pet medications and pet emergencies.
#3 Professional animal caregivers belong to associations; attend seminars, workshops and network amongst each other and local vets in the community in order to remain current in various animal related issues.
Very important! #4 Professional animal caregivers use legally binding contracts so the client has in writing expectations of all terms and conditions.

Warning signs to watch for when choosing a pet care provider:
*Nothing is in writing
*References are not handed to you in writing.  Ask who they use when they are away, verify.
*No lic, ins or bonded. This protects the client!
*They show up with their children (makes you wonder who is really doing the work)
*The biggest most obvious sign of trouble, you drive by and see the condition of there pets! Any pet care providers will have no problem with you checking out where their own pets live, check out how they care for their own pets, this will tell you a lot about how they will care for your pets..
